How it started
How a family pool company got started.
It began with a pool building pioneer and stayed with one family for three generations.
L.E. Riley founded Northern Aire Pools in the early 1950s as one of the Twin Cities' first pool builders. After 19 years, his son Len Riley bought the company from his father and kept it in the family.
In 1982, Len shifted the company's focus toward pool service and maintenance, an underserved market in the Twin Cities at the time. He holds a master mechanic's degree and accounting training, which he applied to develop and expand the business.
Today, a loyal family of employees keeps Northern Aire one of the premier pool companies serving the western Twin Cities suburbs. The work has passed through three generations, and the name on the door has never changed.
For over three generations, this family has put its pride and professionalism into every pool we service.
